Heman
Judd was b 1771 in Connecticut. His son, Mark was born in New
York in 1810 and died in Missouri. His grandson, Heman William,
was born in Ohio in
1836 and died in Oregon Co, Mo in 1909. [See Heman William's
family picture.]
Sometime around 1836-38 Heman (b1771) moved to Athens County, Ohio and
built a cabin near Pine Run Creek, 1/2 mile up a ravine northwest of
Mineral City in Waterloo township, Athens County. His
wife must have died before Nov. 1859, because that month (which was 2
months
before he died) he was taken to the County Infirmary. When he
died in Jan 1860, he was buried in the County Ground
Cemetery. See map below of Judd cemetery which was near his
cabin. Maybe his wife was buried there.
[Thanks to Bill Rogers
for his trip to this lost cemetery and his pictures below!!]

Below is a picture from the actual cemetery site as it is now.
There are no longer any headstones marking the graves. This is near
where Heman Judd's cabin once stood. Perhaps his wife is buried
here.
